Elektra
Expect shortages of bananas, booze, chocolate and cherries if there’s a long port strike Quote That means America could see some shortages of chocolate, alcohol, popular fruit, including bananas and cherries, and even certain cars if the strike lasts a long time. That could mean higher prices for the goods that are available. Brown bananas, crowded ports, empty shelves: What to expect if there’s a big dockworkers strike in the US Quote As many as 36 ports would have to stop operating if a strike happens, blocking almost half of the cargo going in and out of the U.S. on ships. Quote The effects on everything from bananas and cherries to chocolate, meat, fish and cheese could be severe, and the shipping disruption could also hamper trade in some prescription drugs if the strike lasts at least a week. This is some of what to expect. 2
Erich W
Everyone is entitled to benefits and decent pay, but I think some of those striking are trying to get more than they are entitled to.

Tamara
Loook what Fran Drescher started. She encouraged the actors to strike. She kept encouraging those overpaid whiners to continue to get as much as they can (greed). Ever since then, I've noticed people striking just to strike. Striking as lost it's meaning. Unfortunately, frequent strikes like this started LONG before the SAG-AFTRA thing. I'm a sports fan that has seen baseball on strike twice, basketball on strike twice, and hockey on strike three times. And all of those sports-related strikes were preventable. It's been 20 years and I'm still angry over that one strike in the NHL that cancelled the entire 2004-05 season.
