Expect shortages of bananas, booze, chocolate and cherries if there’s a long port strike

Quote

That means America could see some shortages of chocolate, alcohol, popular fruit, including bananas and cherries, and even certain cars if the strike lasts a long time. That could mean higher prices for the goods that are available.

Brown bananas, crowded ports, empty shelves: What to expect if there’s a big dockworkers strike in the US

Quote

As many as 36 ports would have to stop operating if a strike happens, blocking almost half of the cargo going in and out of the U.S. on ships.

The effects on everything from bananas and cherries to chocolate, meat, fish and cheese could be severe, and the shipping disruption could also hamper trade in some prescription drugs if the strike lasts at least a week.

Loook what Fran Drescher started. She encouraged the actors to strike. She kept encouraging those overpaid whiners to continue to get as much as they can (greed). Ever since then, I've noticed people striking just to strike.

Striking as lost it's meaning.
