I loved that show! Granted once Wentworth Miller left early and Dominic Purcell was on his way out, the show lost some of its spark. I think they got it back with the Constantine addition. I'm grateful to LoT for that; bringing back Matt Ryan as Constantine and righting a huge wrong done by NBC.

I'm with you, we need some resolution regarding LoT, but given that The CW has basically killed the Arrowverse (with the final season of Superman and Lois being the swan song), I don't know if we'll get it.

As a fan of villainesses, this show pleased me a lot; they really delivered in that department.

I always enjoyed the crossovers. The best one was Crisis on Infinite Earths.

  2. I feel cheated. I know ratings for Legends of Tomorrow weren't as good as when the show first started. But the way they ended season 7 and cancelled the show, was criminal.

Why can't their be a movie or a special to resolve a few things left open?

    We need resolution.

  3. "Simone Biles thought 'world is going to hate me' after she left team final at Tokyo Games"

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2024/04/17/simone-biles-tokyo-olympics-twisties/73357960007/

    Quote

The four-time Olympic gold medalist revealed what was going through her mind in the 2020 Summer Olympics on an episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast posted on Wednesday. When she realized she had the "twisties," best described as when a gymnast can't comprehend what their body is trying to do and is unable to execute moves, Biles thought she would be heavily criticized by her home country.

"If I could have got on a plane and flown home, I would have done it," Biles said. "As soon as I landed (the vault), I was like, 'Oh, America hates me.' The world is going to hate me. And I can only see what they're saying on Twitter right now. That was my first thought.

"I thought I was gonna be banned from America. Because that's what they tell you; don't come back. If it's not gold, gold or bust, don't come back."

This sounds, to me, like Simone Biles was beginning to feel overwhelmed and stepped away to avoid a mental break.

  4. "'You don't know him': Simone Biles defends husband Jonathan Owens after viral comments"

In a podcast interview in December 2023, NFL player Owens was asked by the host, "How in the hell did you pull Simone Biles?," to which Owens responded: "Really, how'd she pull me, man? That's the question."

I believe that Jonathan Owens was trying to be smooth and sweet.

"That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that. For me, it's like, talk about me all you want, but don't come for my family, never," she asserted.

Many people went to far in their reactions.

  5. "North Carolina high school student suspended over using the term 'illegal alien'"

    https://www.foxnews.com/media/north-carolina-high-school-student-suspended-using-term-illegal-alien-report

    Quote

According to McGhee, an English teacher was giving an assignment that involved using vocabulary words such as the word "alien." In response, her son asked if the teacher meant "like space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards?"

Another student allegedly took offense to the term and threatened to fight McGhee’s son, forcing the teacher to contact the assistant principal. The staff later deemed the term to be offensive to Hispanic students and punished him.

    Quote

"Because of his question, our son was disciplined and given THREE days OUT of school suspension for ‘racism,’" McGhee wrote to the Carolina Journal. "He is devastated and concerned that the racism label on his school record will harm his future goal of receiving a track scholarship. We are concerned that he will fall behind in his classes due to being absent for three consecutive days."

She also stated that the school has so far refused to remove the suspension from her son’s record and that her family has already begun working with an attorney.

    Quote

"Please know that Davidson County Schools administrators take all discipline incidents seriously and investigate each one thoroughly," the comment read. "Any violation of the code of conduct is handled appropriately by administrators."

The suspended student did nothing wrong whatsoever. I am concerned that the racism label will affect him throughout his life. This will cost him college opportunities. This could cost him jobs. He might get treated differently. Even judged. He and his parents should sue the school.

  6. "John Wayne Bobbitt, vet whose wife sliced off his manhood, loses toes due to toxic water at Camp Lejeune"

    Quote

John Wayne Bobbitt, the Virginia man whose wife Lorena Bobbitt infamously chopped off his penis with a kitchen knife in 1993, has lost all of his toes due to side effects from an illness he claims he sustained while based at Camp Lejeune in the 1980s.

I have seen commercials about Camp Lejeune and toxic water, but I am curious as to how he loses the toes now and not them.
