  1. Raiders hang team-record 63 points on banged-up Chargers

63 points. Only 10 points shy of the NFL record set by the Chicago Bears in the 1940 NFL Championship Game. The Chargers gave up 63 points to a Raiders team who a) lost 3-0 four days prior, and b) played without Josh Jacobs, their star running back. If this isn't the last straw for the Chargers to fire Brandon Staley as their head coach, then I don't know what is.

Let's look at Staley's list of offenses. Blew key games with overthinking. Called a very unnecessary timeout during the 2021 season finale against the Raiders that led to LV getting in field goal range on the next play and winning. On that night, the Raiders were originally planning to play for the tie, and that would have put both teams in the playoffs. Instead, the plan changed, the Raiders went for the win and got it. As a result, the Raiders and Steelers got into the 2021 playoffs, while the Chargers were eliminated. Then there's last year's Wild Card game; Chargers led 27-0 but ended up losing to the Jaguars. And remember, the defense is Staley's baby.

With this loss, the Chargers can be eliminated from playoff contention this week if either the Chiefs or Broncos win, and a few of the AFC's 7-6 teams win this week.

  2. It's about damn time!

Draymond Green is nothing more than a talentless hack. He's only good at two things:  bullying refs and being a dirty f**ker. I've literally had to beg officials to call technical fouls on him, but they just stand there and take his abuse. Green wouldn't last in the NHL; opposing players would beat his a** and their refs would cuss him out. Good f**king riddance to him.

  3. Berube fired as Blues coach, replaced by Bannister

I just learned about this; I was shocked at first, but that turned into me laughing my a** off. I'll explain.

I remember when Berube was hired as Blues coach in January 2019. At that time, the Blues had the worst record in the NHL, yet it took them five months to turn it around and actually go on to win their very first Stanley Cup. I was happy for them at that time, but my respect for Berube (as well as the Blues as a whole) decreased beginning in 2021, when he had the nerve to b***h about the officiating during the Avalanche/Blues first round series (Blues had as many power plays as we did). The following year took the cake; you know the incident. The Avalanche's Nazem Kadri is pushed into Blues' goalie Jordan Binnington by Calle Rosen (also with the Blues). Despite this, not only did Blues fans blame Kadri, a number of them sent racist death threats to Kadri. As for Berube, he didn't say sh*t about it, and by the time he finally did speak out, it was two days too late and completely half-assed. Not surprised, considering when Berube was a player, he once called Peter Worrell (a Black player) a "monkey."

So yeah, f**k Berube, f**k Binnington (who also has a racist history), and f**k the Blues. Enjoy that pink slip, Craig.

  4. Patriots, Bill Belichick to part ways after season, according to NBC report

It was bound to happen. There have been talks about Belichick possibly out of Foxboro and even retiring, though that "retirement" word wasn't really posted. Also, Belichick needs 28 wins to gain sole possession of the career wins record, so he may stick around and get a HC job somewhere else.
