Not surprised that Lifetime's behind this; I have seen many soap actors and actresses on LT's thrillers for many years. I hate soaps, but honestly, I'd be so in if Lifetime did this, I know that Lifetime will really do this very well if they get their hands on a potential telefilm series. Plus, soaps do have the best villainesses LOL!

OOOOH this is delicious! I should have figured Lifetime would give us a movie about Ruby Franke; I read something about that psycho woman some time ago, and I definitely need to watch that so I can learn more about this story and that I can possibly write about it on Vocal. All of these movies look deliciously good, but the one I'm excited for the most is Nobody Dumps My Daughter, because we get to see Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids and Ugly Betty) as a deranged villainess! Very excited for these movies!

Bigotry strikes again in New England. Seriously, this transphobic nonsense really needs to stop. And of course, Riley Gaines is using this to spread her hate. Seriously, James Earl Jones is gone, yet Riley Gaines isn't? Blech. But yeah, this transphobia really needs to stop.

I loved this tribute so much. First, Sami Zayn coming out in the Calgary Flames' Johnny Gaudreau jersey, and then the live showing of the outpouring of tributes left at the Saddledome, where Raw was last night. Jackie Redmond, who stood outside the Saddledome and mentioned the Gaudreau brothers' tragedy, works for the NHL Network and has worked NHL games on TNT. I knew that WWE's Raw would honor Johnny Hockey the moment I learned that Raw was in Calgary. They did not disappoint me. Thank you so much, WWE, for honoring both Gaudreau brothers.

The 1969 Mets always fascinate me. They were called the "Miracle Mets" because they were behind in the NL East Division by a plethora of games with little time left, yet they came back, won the East, and went on to win the World Series. Ed Kranepool was definitely one of the key parts of that amazing championship run, and he'll be missed immensely.

  6. 20 minutes ago, Elektra said:

    I can't see her retiring.

Part of me believes that how Matlock does will determine whether or not Kathy Bates calls it a career or not. When I read this, I thought about Steve Martin, who said the same regarding his career--he'll retire once Only Murders in the Building ends, and that show is lasting long. Brad Dourif said the same thing, he's retired except for playing Chucky, and Jim Carrey will only continue the Sonic movies. I think if the Matlock reboot fails and gets cancelled early, I can see Kathy Bates doing just a bit more and then she retires. But if this show succeeds and lasts about three seasons at least, then I can see her retiring after this show.

f**k!!!! DAMMIT!!! OMG!!! I'm in such heartbreak over this. I know every year has a select group of heartbreaking celeb deaths, but this year has been so awful! With me, it's more than Darth Vader, it's more than Coming to America, and it's more than even The Lion King! I first heard that booming voice when I was a baby. "This is CNN." Funny story:  that booming voice used to scare me as a kid. To say that James Earl Jones is an ICON would be the understatement of the century. The man gave us so so much and it all spanned multiple generations.

Thank you so much, James Earl Jones. You gave us so much for so many years, and we will treasure those roles and moments forever.

Another iconic legend set to call it a career. Kathy Bates has done so much in her amazing career. As a Sandler fan, I know her from The Waterboy. Of course, she's done several seasons of American Horror Story. However, she will always be known for Misery as Annie Wilkes, and I remember one of the times I saw that movie was just hours after the Colorado Avalanche won the Cup two years ago. Regarding the Matlock reboot, Bates will show out once again, I just know it!
